Younger audiences can discover more about climate change and ideas for a better world with learning resources from the Science Museum Group. Designed for 7–14 year olds, these downloadable activities to complete at home will support families to think differently about the way we all live our lives. They formed part of Manchester Science Festival, which the Science and Industry Museum hosted digitally earlier this year. Discover more about Manchester Science Festival here.
• Learn about carbon dioxide, a gas that contributes to global warming, in our Blow-Up Balloon activity.
• Discover the science behind calcium carbonate with our Bouncy Egg activity and learn how the burning of fossil fuels impacts the oceans, causing real problems for marine life.
• Instead of throwing unwanted gadgets away, learn how to reuse and recycle items around the house with Wreck Your Tech.
• Look again at the way we use energy around the home in our Object Hunt and get talking about climate, sustainability and the impact humans can have on the natural world.
