The Future of Fuel

June 5 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

The fuel we use to power our world is one of the biggest contributing factors affecting the UK’s carbon footprint. Join our exert panel and have your say about the future of fuel as part of this thought-provoking debate.

Our changing climate is one of the biggest challenges facing our society. How we power our world, from the goods we use to the way we travel, has a major impact on the UK’s carbon footprint. Award winning journalist and broadcaster Samira Ahmed will lead the conversation with a diverse panel of scientists, policy makers, energy suppliers and campaigners. Bring your questions to this open forum and discuss how our society could use most up-to-date fuel research and technology, such as new hydrogen and carbon capture and storage infrastructure, in our efforts to reduce UK emissions and tackle the climate crisis. Further speakers to be announced.

This event is part of Manchester Science Festival produced by the Science and Industry Museum and one of the Science Museum Group’s series of Climate Talks. The event is free but booking is essential. Recommended for ages 16+.
