Join the teams in Bristol as they celebrate COP26
June 1 @ 9:00 am - November 14 @ 5:00 pm
Bristol was the first city in the UK to be awarded the honour of being selected as The Green Capital of Europe.
It was also the first council in the UK to declare a Climate Emergency in 2018 and to focus its actions to decrease carbon across all its activities. Indeed it had been striving for this for 15 years or more and even has its own renewable energy company.
Likewise, youth climate activist Greta Thunberg came to Bristol in February 2020 to join local children as they went on strike for climate. Tens of thousands of families, children and adults of Bristol proudly took to the streets to join Greta and the young people in this march for climate.
The activities taking place in Bristol will be multiple alongside COP26. Dr Penny Fidler has added Bristol here as a place holder of what this brilliant city will do to celebrate, and to demonstrate the functionality of the map. This section will be updated when individual event details are released.
